About

The Story of Greyhound

Greyhound is a Southern rock and country band formed in Auburn, Alabama, by four friends who met through Alpha Tau Omega at Auburn University. The band came together in the summer of 2025 with a shared love for live music, Southern culture, and the timeless songs that bring people together. Influenced by artists such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Widespread Panic, Jason Aldean, and Toby Keith, Greyhound has built a sound that feels right at home anywhere from a fraternity tailgate to a packed concert venue.

What sets Greyhound apart is its ability to connect with any crowd. Rather than sticking to a single genre, the band pulls from a wide range of country, Southern rock, classic rock, and crowd-favorite hits that nearly everyone knows. Whether it’s a singalong to “Dixieland Delight,” the energy of “Too Fast,” or the iconic guitar solos of “Free Bird,” Greyhound focuses on creating a show where the audience becomes part of the experience. The band’s interactive style, strong musicianship, and diverse setlists keep crowds engaged from the first song to the last.

The band features Alexander Costanza on lead vocals and rhythm acoustic guitar, Phillip McPhail on lead guitar, Jack Gardner on bass, and Jake Varga on drums. Since forming, Greyhound has performed at fraternity events, tailgates, and private parties across the Southeast, while also opening for artists including Evan Honer and the band Jacoozy.

Whether it’s a fraternity party, tailgate, private event, wedding, or live music venue, Greyhound brings a high-energy show built around great songs, crowd interaction, and a setlist that keeps people singing along all night. If you’re looking for a band that can connect with any audience and keep the party going, Greyhound is ready to hit the stage.
